Property Bee add-on not installed correctly?

Postby Beerhunter on Fri May 18, 2012 12:52 am

There seems to be an increasing number of people not being able to install the property-bee add-on, the chances are this is not a problem with the add-on itself, but firefox.

If you find that after downloading (or updating) the property-bee add-on;
- the install wizard does not start
- or the buttons on the toolbar do nothing / clicking on the styles / filters buttons shows a blank menu
- or you don't see the property history being displayed

Please follow the instructions for resolving the issue of Corrupt Firefox extension files.

Thanks

My Bee has kicked the bucket sadly - I've removed the suggested files but this hasn't made any difference.

I've also uninstalled and re-installed - no luck

Had to go for the Nuclear Option and delete the whole folder. Back up and running now.

Ah right! Appears that Mozilla web page is out of date, as since Firefox 4 its the files listed above that need to be deleted.

With Firefox NOT running, just copy the file named "property-bee.sqlite" back, and start Firefox... and your history will be restored.

I was struggling with this recently. I'd tried all the suggestions to no avail.

I was transferring all my bits to a new pc and just couldn't get PB running. In the end after reinstalling Firefox many times I discovered what it was: the Kaspersky URL advisor? I turned it off and it was ok.

As to why this should be a problem I don't know. Is Property Bee a dodgy site? :D I suppose from some estate agents point of view it might be.

Happy New Year and hope all who are house hunting here get a good bargain.

Hi,

I also have a problem with property bee.
When I go to my desktop and open Firefox, I am continually getting a small window appearing at the top left hand
side of my screen asking if I would like to continue with the installation of property bee - with a
'yes' - 'no' - 'remind me later'
fields underneath.
I have tried to uninstall, with the intention of starting again, but whichever field I click on I get the same
result - nothing, and the window continues to appear.
I have been into 'add or remove' but there is no property bee software showing in the files.

Would you please advise how to get rid of this annoying box.

Thank you
Kind regards
Sam (auberjen)
