*****Property Bee Has been abandoned*****

Postby needle on Sat Jan 25, 2014 4:23 pm

In case anyone hasnt realised, Property Bee has been abandoned.

The application works, for now, but isnt being maintained or updated.

Beerhunter (the founder) still checks in but has not posted in nearly 2 years.
Clearly it was bought out to shut it down.

You need to find something or somewhere else to track property details.

I tried installing Google Chrome Browser and then downloading the free "Property Tracker" extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... eogkmlmand) but that doesn't appear to have been updated in line with the latest Rightmove changes.

I may be able to knock up an unofficial and unsupported version with the relevant fixes applied. No promises though...

If you let me know what issues there are at the moment, I'll see what I can do,

I had an email fro Nethouseprices obviously using the email i used to register here. Prompted me to use their contact facility on the website to have a minor whinge about lack of support, this was yesterday.

Today i received this reply
"HI Mike
Thank you for your email.
Our developers have just confirmed that due to layout changes on Rightmove and Primelocation websites, Property Bee add-on is not working correctly.
They're updating the add-on codes at present so should be working normally in the next 48-72 hours.
Kind Regards
Joanne"

An update window just came up as I restarted my browser, for the property-bee add-on.

Thanks.

Just as a backup, is there any way of allowing the property-bee add-on to not work as hive. There used to be that ability. Perhaps if I used the log-out function on the add-on?

I'm also thinking you should consider ways to partially commercialise property-bee. Perhaps allow different marketing campaigns each week to run on the results. Insurance / mortgages / credit card deals / special offers / ect. Rendered up near where it currently says 'Get a free valuation' ... which of course links back to your own commercial site.

Property-Bee should pay for itself, and turn a bit of a profit.

I noticed that, weird isn't it. I know i joined a long way back but it does seem spooky to be sooo close.

Wonder if there is a forum glitch from back then.
