A major new version which;
- Allows users to share information with each other.

- Support for www.sspc.co.uk for Scottish property sales.

1.0.4.x |
17th Mar 2008 |
Property-bee can be used to track properties on propertynews.com.
Also there have been a few minor fixes (which were released as 1.0.3.3) for the following bugs;
- "Type error:diff is not a function" (reported by Azazel)
- "ns[ni]].row has no properties" (reported by Bertiebasher) - unfortunately we were unable to find the bug, so there is a work-around implemented instead.
- "Properties being marked as available when clearly they were not" (reported by Muskoka)
Many thanks to Paul65, sushiepie and parsley for testing property-bee with propertynews.com

1.0.3.x |

New functionality and general enhancements;
- Ability to export property-bee data to a CSV file by using the "Export CSV" wizard, so you can analyse the data in your favourite spreadsheet.
- By using the "Move Data Folder" wizard, you can tell the toolbar where it should store its data files. This means that file data files can be stored on a USB memory stick or network drive if you use property-bee on a number of computers.
- Firefox 3 (Beta 2) support
- All future updates of the toolbar will be via SSL.
- Online help (It's early days, and this section will be expanded over the coming months)
- Better error reporting for when/if things go wrong.
Some daft.ie enhancements;
- Works with "my daft" pages (including saved ads, recent ads and rentals).
- Can be used when browsing daft.ie, www.daft.ie and www5.daft.ie
- Tracks "sub premium" ads, mainly found for rentals and shares.
- Tracks the properties status (Sold, Let, Available etc).
Some rightmove.co.uk enhancements;
- (xx miles from station) doesn't trigger an change to the history.
There has also been a big tidy up in preparation for coding of 1.1.0.0
|
1.0.2.x |
7th Feb 2008 |
Property-bee now works with daft.ie so Irish properties can be tracked, plus;
- A fix for the single rightmoves bug, overseas properties where they less than 10 properties in the country can now be tracked with property-bee.
- A few other minor changes (eg comparison of data is now case-insensitive)
Many thanks to Dreaded_Estate from irishpropertywatch.com and the admins at thepropertypin.com for their help in testing this version out.

1.0.1.x |

A update which fixes the following items;
- The add-on is now officially a toolbar!
- Added saving of property status (New Property / Sold / STC etc)
- Ability to customise what history information is shown (via Style and Filter menus on the toolbar).
- New entries are highlighted with a background colour, and "decay" to black text on a white background after a week.
- Solved the problems with using multiple tabs (and the history not appearing or appearing multiple times).
- Added missing rule, so history is now shown for the first page of results after doing "Email Alerts" > "Run search".
- Works with most overseas properties (there is a bug where if the country has less than 10 properties listed you will not see any history, this will be fixed in 1.0.2.0).
- Fixed the compatibility problem between property-bee and switchproxy add-ons.
- Prefixed all global identifiers in the code with PB_ to avoid any future clashes with other add-ons.
- Prices are valid if in $ and € currencies as well as £.
- Fixed problem with title information changing when viewing a property via rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-xxxx and rightmove.co.uk/property/xxxx urls

1.0.0.x |
20th Jan 2008 |
The first official release of the property-bee toolbar.
- All information is stored locally on the user’s hard disk in a sparse csv file format, rather than remotely on a server.
- The code to extract information from webpage’s has been rewritten to be generic and rule driven, so in the future other sites can be supported by the toolbar.
- A new mechanism to highlight changes in text.
- Support for automatic updates when future versions are released.
If it wasn't for the members of globalhousepricecrash.com being so enthusiastic about the toolbar and giving invaluable feedback, we may not be here today. Thanks guys!

Prototype |
2nd Jan 2008 |
A prototype of an idea inspired by a thread on globalhousepricecrash.com about the excellent site propertysnake.co.uk.
(Un)fortunately it became popular very quickly, and due to server/ADSL load plus the issues of centralised storage of information, I withdrew it on 9th Jan, to work on a new version with doesn't rely on centralised storage.
